Sunday Morning, 36 degrees

Here's the sketch I did at the Starbucks at 2nd and Taylor, and the painting I did from the sketch. The painting is on display at Broderick Gallery, 814 SW First Avenue, during the month of February.

First I loved the bricks, then I noticed the angled shadows vs. the angled green umbrellas, then I loved the street detail behind the figures. Lovely with warm emotions in the cold.
